New Years began a second late
The russians celebrated
and so did the japanese
the night was far from happening

At highway 66
trying to travel across the US
in fancy cars
it was her first night out
we sped through the empty roads
with our eyes shut
and are ears open

Cinderella's curfew was at 2
losing her shoes in the bathroom
as blood drained out of the walls
the moon stays still waiting for the sun
